Who We Are

Molen & Associates has been providing quality environmental consulting services to the Denver area and Rocky Mountain region since 1998. As a small business, we are able to bring a personalized approach to every project we work on in order to best meet the unique needs of our clients.

Molen & Associates offers a wide range of environmental services and has associate agreements with environmental engineers, recyclers, hydrologists, certified industrial hygienists, radiation health physicists, and other environmental professionals. Molen & Associates draws on extensive experience with environmental projects, large and small, in order to find creative solutions for our clients while minimizing costs.

Mark Molen

Mark Molen

Mark is the owner and principal environmental professional at Molen & Associates, LLC and has extensive experience in the environmental business. Mark has held a Certified Hazardous Materials Manager (CHMM) certification since 1989.

Prior to founding Molen & Associates in 1998, Mark worked as General Manager at Conservation Services, Inc., where he managed all aspects of this non-hazardous industrial waste disposal service. Mark has supervised a variety of environmental clean-up projects both large and small and has extensive experience in groundwater monitoring, waste characterization, waste solidification, stormwater sampling, clay and synthetic liner construction, site development, and Phase I and Phase II Environmental Site Assessments.

Having spent over 25 years in the environmental business and dealing with regulators, environmental attorneys, environmental scientists and engineers, Mr. Molen has a good understanding of environmental issues and how they can be managed today. Mark’s ability to understand complex environmental situations and communicate them well to people in and out of the environmental profession stands him apart from many environmental scientists.

Emily Hargreaves

Emily Hargreaves

Emily Hargreaves, environmental scientist, has been with Molen & Associates since 2018 and assists in Phase I and Phase II Environmental Site Assessments, subsurface investigations, landfill gas and groundwater monitoring, asbestos reporting, data management, report preparation, and project coordination. Emily has a background in technical writing, a BS in Psychology and BS in Biology. She has previous work experience with Clean Harbors as a HAZMAT field chemist and as a wildlife biologist specializing in desert tortoise research and protection in the Mojave Desert. She has received ASTM 1527-13 training for Phase I Environmental Site Assessments and is actively involved in report development, writing, and production.

Kevin Taylor

Kevin Taylor

Kevin Taylor, senior geologist, has 31 years of experience in the environmental industry. Projects include underground storage tanks (USTs) sites, commercial and industrial properties, sanitary landfills, oil and gas production sites, petroleum refineries, and natural gas transmission facilities. Mr. Taylor has supervised remediation projects involving soil and groundwater contaminants at sites regulated by Colorado Department of Environmental Health (CDPHE), Colorado Department of Labor and Employment – Division of Oil and Public Safety (OPS), U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), Wyoming Department of Environmental Quality (WDEQ), and Colorado Oil and Gas Conservation Commission (COGCC).
